Hi! Welcome. I hope you enjoy my personal web page I've built here. I've set this up as a helpful guide for me and who ever stumbles across it. Comments are welcome via the forum or an e-mail. .... The web page hit counter keeps going up so maybe I am getting more traffic to the website which makes it all worth while. Hopefully it is not just a bunch of search engine bots! Be cool and show your appreciation for anything you find here that helps and sign in to the FORUM! I know it is a pain in the butt to register and wait for an e-mail back. You can thank our spam making friends for that bit of joy. Also don't forget to click a google ad on the way out the door!

Thanks, Cy.

Why should I use this website?

Good question, here is what you will find in this website:

Cool web sites of the Month:

  • YouSendIt lets you send large file over the internet without installing any FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program.

  • DimDim is a free web conferencing service where you can share your desktop, show slides, collaborate, chat, talk and broadcast via webcam with absolutely no download required for attendees.

  • Splashup edit photo's on the online. With layer support and filters. Share with online apps like Picasa, flickr and facebook.

  • Sumatra PDF reader is a lite weight PDF reader to use instead of the bloated Adobe Reader.

  • ObjectDock is another great product from the guys at Stardock. This is my new favorite toy for my computer and PC's that I build (and it's free). Looks a lot like the dock in Mac PC's. It is a cool bar to launch your favorite programs in a stylish cool looking way. Check out Windowblinds and other products they have to totally transform the way your computer looks.

  • Zoho Virtual Office is a free for individuals E-mail program and Office suite. [Looks good and I'm getting ready to try it. Cy]
  • The Trailer Mash "is a website totally devoted to collecting recut trailers and trailer mash-ups".   Watch remixes of trailers to make a totally different movie.
  • Bed Jump Check out a possible new Olympic Sport "Bed Jumping". Great photos...
  • Long Awkward Pose is evil use of good technology... Take a cell phone camera, tell someone you're going to take a picture and instead take a 30 sec video pretending you can't get the camera to work. Say "cheeeeeeeeeeesssssse"
  • Diggnation is a great tech blog with video. Featuring Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht formerly of TechTV/Sceensavers (G4). Drink beer, cuss and talk about tech. That's awesome! [Great video "netcast" guys...cy]
  • I also love digg.com. Great news on tech stuff (for the most part). Stories are posted by users and ranked by readers according to how many "diggs" the story receives. A fun way to check out stories is to use digg swarm. Just a cool looking flash app with the latest stories floating around the page.
  • Goggles is a sweeeeet web page that uses Google Maps with an airplane to fly around in. You can even shoot and blow up things (sorta). Click the link to go to the Goggle Flight Sim and press "Start" [without choosing a location] to start at the St.Louis Arch. You can select a location to go to New York, L.A. or London etc. if you want but if you follow my link it will start you out in STL. : )  Use the arrows on your keyboard to fly around. A and Z to speed up or slow down and the SPACE bar to shoot.
  • SwitchDiscs.com Lets you switch disc (CD's, DVD's etc) with other people for free. Earn "Switchbucks" for your account and trade with others. No more renting! [Or try Peerflix. Sign up for a free membership and start trading DVD's].

        Alerts!:

ALERT! Check to see if you have "Starforce CD Protection" secretly installed on your system. If some games don't work or your CD or DVD drive is acting up do this:
  • Open Device Manager in your Control Panel under the System icon
  • Under the View drop down menu click Show Hidden Devices and expand the Non Plug And Play Drivers list
  • Remove any listing you have for Starforce.

ALERT! Check to see if you have the SONY DRM virus on your computer:
  • Type cmd /k sc query $sys$aries into your "RUN" dialog box on the start menu.
  • If you get the response that "STATE 4 IS RUNNING" you have SONY's invasive DRM protection tool (a "Rootkit" created by SONY to enforce Digital Rights Management [DRM] on your computer whether you like it or not).
  • Download an unistalling program from SONY here.
  • You may join the class action LAWSUIT here.
  • Check out the SONY BOYCOTT and sign a petition HERE.
  • More info available at the Freedom-to-Tinker web site.

    Newly updated pages:

    • I am starting a Linux page to gather some links and downloads together. [I am new at Linux so nothing fancy here...]. I am currently using Kubuntu and I kinda like it. If I can only figure out how to get my sound card working!
